Protocol FAQ

Everything you need to know about our open-source architecture, security protocols, and Web3 integrations.

Is Nicegram safe to use?

Yes. Nicegram is built using Telegram's open API and relies on the official MTProto protocol for all messaging. Your messages are just as secure as they are on the official Telegram app. We never store your messages or private keys on our servers.

How does the non-custodial wallet work?

The built-in multichain wallet is 100% self-custodial, meaning only you have access to your seed phrase and private keys. All transactions are signed locally on your device before being broadcasted to the blockchain.

What is the "Double Bottom" feature?

Double Bottom is a security feature that allows you to hide specific accounts and chats under a separate passcode. If you are ever forced to unlock your app, you can enter a decoy passcode that reveals a clean, safe version of your app.

Are there hidden fees for crypto swaps?

No. Our DeFi aggregator connects directly to major decentralized exchanges (DEXs) to find you the best rates. Nicegram charges absolutely zero additional fees on your P2P transfers or swaps.

Is the source code available?

Absolutely. Transparency is a core value for Web3. Nicegram's source code is available on our GitHub repository for community review and independent security audits.
